Company history

  • since 2010IBV prepares for new tasks as well as the pending changes entailed in the scheduled AIFM Directive.
  • 2009By switching the head office to Berlin, Brunnenstraße 110 C, IBV repositions itself in terms of staff.
  • 2006Change of name of IBV to Immobilien Beteiligungs- und Vertriebsgesellschaft within the BIH Group.
  • as of 2005IBV focuses on the active management of the 34 existing funds and successively transfers to external management companies the management of 17 single-property funds with the legal form of a BGB company.
  • since 2004IBV very successfully coordinates the buyback of fund shares of selected funds for the state government of Berlin.
  • 2003IBV focuses on the professional management of the existing funds and repositions the subscriber support. 74,000 subscriptions by approx. 52,000 subscribers are being managed as at December 31, 2003. Owing to restructuring measures, the last sales branch in Munich is shut down as of March 31, 2003, and the main branch in Wiesbaden is closed as of September 30, 2003. The company is now only active at one location, the new head office in Nuremberg, Bamberger Strasse 6.
  • 2002The reissue of funds is terminated because of financial difficulties of the parent company Bankgesellschaft Berlin.
  • 2001Change of name of IBV to Immobilien Beteiligungs- und Vertriebsgesellschaft within the IBAG Group mbH. The new organizational structure is broken down into the business areas of Conception/Properties; Sales and Marketing, headquartered in Wiesbaden; as well as the Fund Management unit in Nuremberg. The sales organization was concentrated in the sales branches in Cologne, Wiesbaden, Munich, Hanover and Stuttgart. The sales branches in Hanover, Dortmund and Nuremberg were liquidated as locations.
  • 1999The issuance of more closed-end property funds is linked to the steady expansion of the fund management. The accounting is established for 49 public funds and their holdings in existence by then. The number of the subscriber holdings has risen to 60,000 in the meantime. The company has branches in Wiesbaden, Hanover, Cologne, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Munich, Kassel-Lohfelden and Berlin.
  • 1997Change of name of IBV to Immobilien Beteiligungs- und Vertriebsgesellschaft within Bankgesellschaft Berlin mbH.
  • 1996Foreign funds with properties in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Austria and Sweden will be also conceived and marketed in the future.
  • since 1995IBV has holdings in a great many of the funds initiated by it, as well as in property companies with the legal form of GmbH + Co. KG and in several BGB companies.
  • since 1994The range of activities of IBV encompasses the conception of closed-end property funds, the coordination of the sale of the shares (including secondary shares) as well as the fund management and fund administration. The sales of residential property, with the focus on structural measures and heritage-protected residential properties, constituted the second main foothold of IBV.
  • June 7, 1994Founding of IBV under the name of LBB Immobilien Beteiligungs- und Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH.
